In this sewing tutorial I'll show you how to make a utensil wrap. Sustainability and reducing waste is an important part of our business and personal lives, and carrying utensils with us when we travel helps with this by not having to use disposable, single-use plastic utensils.

The final size of the utensil wrap I'm making in the video is about 11 inches wide with 6 inch pockets when unrolled but you can easily make yours larger or smaller depending on what you want to carry.

This is a beginner-level sewing project and you'll need these tools and supplies:

  • Outer fabric
  • Liner fabric
  • Batting (optional)
  • Ribbon
  • Scissors or snips
  • Pins or clips
  • Ruler
  • Chalk or fabric marker
