This past April I was asked to participate in the Wells Branch Pioneer Festival. This provided me the opportunity to demonstrate several different embroidery techniques to a number of children of all ages. There were several children interested in learning about embroidery and some that were already familiar. Both boys and girls learned the basics from threading the needle to actually embroidering on their own.
It was a great experience seeing the interest children have. I have worked with all ages of children in the past and it never surprises me to see how quickly they respond when given the chance to be creative.
