A bobbin is a small spool of thread that sits below the presser foot under the stitching plate. Bobbins are available in several different sizes, and in both metal and plastic. Before winding your bobbin make sure you have the correct size. If you're not sure of the correct size, please review your sewing machine manual.

The steps demonstrated in this video are applicable to most modern and vintage sewing machines, but some machines may have different functions and steps. Be sure to review your manual for where there may be differences.
